Impromptu Fuel Giveaway!

No, I'm not giving anyone a gift card to Chevron or anything. I'm actually spontaneously deciding to have a giveaway of various tasty products that many of you runners would probably enjoy!

Here's the thing... I don't eat chocolate. I don't eat candy. I have in my little tub o' fuel some products that have chocolate in them. And I have some of those Sport Beans that I still consider candy. I acquired these at races and as gifts from friends.  I will never use these and I would feel bad if they just sat there ignored. Instead of throwing them out I thought I may as well share them with someone that would actually like to use and enjoy them!


I'll make it so dang easy for this giveaway since really you all are helping me clean house! ;)

    I haven't tried any of the "real runner's" fuel yet. I usually just eat a banana before a run. If it is a longer race I will eat a bagel about an hour before that.

    The only thing I've taken with me on longer runs is peanut M&M's and gum. But I've been wanting to try some of the sport beans and GU.

  10. I usually end up using Gu, because it's easy to find. But man do I love sports beans. They taste better than regular jelly beans.

  11. As far as gus go- obsessed w/ chocolate mint (but it has chocolate in it so I guess that is out for you) Vanilla Bean is great and from the roctane series- pineapple.
    Lot of my friends run w/ gummi bears too. Since you can have 'candy' you could also try vita chews (gummy multi vitamins for kids) technically its not candy ;)

    Trying to figure that out before the Disney Princess!

    Had my first Gu yesterday, gagged and nearly threw up!

    Blox are way too chewy..maybe I need to try the beans?!

  20. I love Gatorade Prime. I have tried a GU once and it was so thick. It was before a race and took awhile to get down. I can't imagine doing one while racing.

  21. I have only tried the Sport Beans so far and I like them. As a diabetic I know they're good for raising BS when I need that too.

    Hmmm
    conventional: GU blocks
    Nonconventional: positive thinking and visualizing myself being AWESOME! This is fuel enough sometimes. :)

  25. Usually I'm a Gu or sport bean person. I occasionally to Cliff shot blocks, but not strawberry flavored ones... those are gross! Awesome giveaway, thanks!

  27. I guess Gu is my "favorite." I don't love it but it's the only thing I can handle while running...BUT there are a lot of things (like sports beans) that I haven't tried so that's why I need to win!! :)

  28. Before a race I have a half a bagel and a banana. That's probably my most consistent fuel source. I haven't found anything to use while I'm running though.
