Week 10: Where Did It Go?

I don't have much to say about this week, sadly.

I made it to all 3 swim classes and felt like I was getting some good workouts. A new thing we have is music on Friday's. That put a little pep in our steps I think. I enjoyed it!

Running took a hard hit due to this latest Meniere's attack that won't stop. I did get out Tuesday night. I was nervous about going far, so I just decided to do 2 miles close to home so I could at least run, but not be too far away ... just in case. Holy cow - I was on fire! 9:05 for mile 1 and 9:00 for mile 2. This is pretty much unheard of for me. It was awesome!!

I've just finished doing my dress rehearsal for the B.A.A. 5K next Sunday. The outfit passed the test, and I actually really like my hard to find red shirt, even if it is from the men's department. I did two miles pretty fast and ended up back at my mom's to ditch my hat and do a weather check. I wanted to compare temperatures so I would know how to alter my outfit on race morning, if needed. I finished out the last 3 miles and really enjoyed it. The weather is beautiful today. Everybody seems to be outside working on their lawns and that smell of freshly cut grass made every step of the run that much more enjoyable!

So now I am obsessing over all things Boston. I'm currently studying my little race course. The Coach put me in charge of our general itinerary, so my homework will be to figure out what to do while we are there and when. Thank goodness we have a week - but our time is certainly filling up quickly!

I'm starving. I'm going to go raid the fridge now. Ta ta - have a lovely Easter everyone!

    2. It's in the Little Italy section of town...near where Paul Revere's house is and the Old North Church. Easily accessibly on the "Freedom Trail" which is that red line you can walk around to see all the historical sites.

I don't have a red shirt either...now I know why. I need to find one for August.

  5. I want to give you advice, but I can't really recall much. If you're going to spectate, you should bounce around a lot; the Wellesley College girls section I'm sure is awesome. I only got to be around mile 20ish -right after Heartbreak Hill- and tons of people like to be there to cheer b/c of it. You'll have a blast. Spectating Boston is a sport within itself.

    1. I think I'm more worried about spectating than I am about my own little race!
