WDWCP97 Journal. Day 22.

Date: October 1, 1997. 

Places: TGI Fridays, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck's, Vista Way, 7-11, Goodings

People: Roommates, Juan, Alejandro, the 2 gay guys, Fiona Apple

Sights: Fiona Apple's tour buses 

Dining: TGI Fridays (grilled cheese/fries), Wolfgang Puck's (cheese pizza & garlic mashed potatoes)

Lodging: Vista Way

Expenses: $6 - TGI Fridays, $7 - stationery @ Hallmark, photo album & frame, $7 - food @ Wolfgang Puck's I bought a Fiona tank top. Apparently I didn't write that down.

WHY was I buying stationery?? I really hope I answer my question in this entry!

At 12:30 this afternoon Danielle, Zaira & I had our fist class. It was short and pretty pointless. We basically found out how to get a Ducktorate & when things are due.

I essentially did the work for a Ducktorate - but believe it or not I get shy and HATE public speaking - so I didn't do the final steps to earn that. My Mouseters Degree is proudly framed and displayed in my house to this day! 

Afterwards, us Americans went to TGI Fridays for lunch. YUMMY - real food. Then Marcy & I cashed our paychecks at Goodings & then shopped. Gooding's was an overpriced, carpeted grocery store close to Vista Way. I got a frame (which I'm exchanging) photo album & stationery. 

Mary, Sarah & I cleaned our house (mop/vacuum) & got my $ order at 7-11. Why did I need a money order?? This is all truly fascinating! I'm completely stumped.  Marcy & I were getting the mail & we saw Juan & Alejandro. I'm convincing Juan to go ice skating on the 17th. I never went ice skating. 

Sarah, Danielle & I all went to the Fiona Apple concert.  We got the 7:30 bus & at our stop before the PI stop we picked up Alejandro & Juan. Juan sat by me! 

Okay, so Juan said I was closed minded, anorexic and a redneck, but he sure hung out with me a lot, right?!? I'm so confused! Was this like when they say boys hit girls to flirt with them?? 

The line to get into the House of Blues was so long but it went by fast. After a stop to go potty & at the bar, we went down to the floor. These two guys (a couple - they seemed straight) Trust me, no straight guys were at the Fiona concert! were by us in line & stood by us, so we talked to them during the night. One of them looked like Kirk Hammett with the Disney Look. Kirk Hammett is in Metallica for those of you not in the know. 

Seems I didn't mentioned the fact that prior to the concert Danielle and Sarah got themselves all cute.. then fixed me by giving me a shirt to wear. In the late 90s I think Oregonians didn't dress like people on the East coast. Thanks for the help, roomies!

The opening act - Hooverphonic - was stupid. Seriously. NOT a fan. Everyone thought the singer was Fiona. I don't know why, she was fat. Fiona is as far from fat as you can get. The girl did try and act like her, though. Fiona rocked. She is so small, I want to be just like her. She had a cold, so you could hear her cough.  You'd never know it, though, she she sang. "Criminal" was awesome. Fiona would just like talk to the audience like she knew us. We were standing less than 50 feet away from her & I could see her so clearly. 

I love her. I loved her then. I will always love her. Check out her new album that came out last month! She is just ... she's Fiona! She's the best. 

After the concert we went to Wolfgang Puck's. Danielle & I split a cheese pizza. Sarah had pepperoni & Sarah & I shared garlic mashed potatoes. It was yummy. We got hom at 12:35am. I made Marcy listen to me tell all about the concert. 

I'm cracking up at this next sentence... this was our life...

We watched the Weather Channel and saw the Oregon Coast. There is a huge tropical storm over there with 55-60mph winds. After Marcy pried into my love life we went to bed at 2am. Yeah, we had to get up at 7 & 8am, but oh well!

That night was Epic. I've seen Fiona so many times. That was my favorite!!

Uh oh .. for the next post preview .... David and I had a fight. I've forgiven him, but oh it was not a fun time!!
