WDWCP97 Journal. Days 47-48.

Date: October 26-28, 1997.
Places: Pecos Bill Cafe, Perkins, pool 2
People: Vinny, Marcy, Dan, Holli, James, Ricardo, Joe
Sights: not a sight, but I got a ride with Vinny in the Halloween pargo
Dining: Grilled cheese/fries
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses$5 - cab ride, $5 - Perkins, $30 - pictures @ Walgreens

Cristina & Axel - at the break
table where everything happens.
Sunday I got another ER. It took me 2 hours to leave because I was talking to Vinny. I started on trays & he talked to me the whole time - he forgot to set back his clock, so he was in 2 hours early. Sitting outside, Ricardo looked at us & said, "So what's going on with you too anyway?" I was so embarrassed. Hahahaha. Vinny & I got a ride on the Halloween pargo & then sat & talked for a while. He memorized my extension so he can call me! That night I was a gleaming smile! 😁
Jamie in her Pirate
restaurant costume
I can't remember Monday - Oh - I got extended to 8:30pm. Carlos cheated on me with Jamie - I had to break up with him. I am being completely facetious here. Obviously we were not dating. Just jokes, internet! Marcy & I couldn't make it to the luau for Brenda's party. We (Marcy & I) went to the hot tub - 1st time since tattoo! Then we went to Crossroads & Perkins. When we got home Zaira yelled at us because we couldn't make it & Tuesday morning, Danielle & Sarah got mad at me. Sheesh! Note - I got extended at work. 18 year old me would never say that to defend myself. 41 year old me wouldn't either.
Vinny called me Tuesday night while I was at work. I called him back (long distance) & talked for ~2 hours. My mom's calling card was not happy about that. Even though he lives in Kissimmee it's long distance. Hello - 10 miles away? Long distance? OMG this is so embarrassing. Damn you, Vinny.... I think I'm the most giddy little girl in all of Vista Way right now. Vinny keeps trying to get me to stay in Florida. I tried to convince him to move to Oregon, go to school with me and Be A Beaver! I don't know how thrilled Mom is about the Vinny thing. (Don't worry, Vincent - she totally still likes you!)
People are telling me I have shin splints. I don't know what they are, but my legs hurt so much I can hardly walk. Confirmed - yeah, it was shin splints. Lesson learned on wearing $4 shoes from the Import Plaza when you work all day on your feet in a theme park. But they were cute!

Most embarrassing journal entry and blog post ever? Probably. And I censored it, too! Juan, Ricardo, Carlos, who?? Move aside, boys! ;-)

Ooh, our next post is probably THE single most terrifying night of my life! I LOVED IT SO SO MUCH!!!

WDWCP97 Journal. Days 44-46.

Date: October 23-25, 1997.
Places: Downtown Disney (Westside, PI, Marketplace), Pecos Bill Cafe, Wendy's
People: Danielle, Marcy, Sarah, Luis, Dan, Ryan, Bassi, Jamie, Jamie, Carlos, Vinny, Ricardo, Zach, Holli, Quame, David, Juan, Joe x2, Brenda, Sarah (from bus stop)
Sights: Inside AMC Theaters (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Cast gas station
Dining: Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, grilled cheese & fries, Spaghetti Os & crackers, Pizza Hut
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses: dress (PI), movie & Coke (AMC), shirt (PI), $9 lapel pin (Marketplace), $3 cab, $1.85 food in Fantasyland

Wow - 3 days in one journal page. I see some emotional drama from a roommate, and the name of a certain someone is popping up a lot. Yay! Let's see what all went down on this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Thursday, Danielle & I went to Downtown Disney. I saw Juan at the bus stop & he actually gave me a double take! He did. Trust me, I was stunned, too. I had just been given a makeover by Danielle. She basically tried to do everything to me I had never done before... hair, make-up - girly stuff I never learned. Danielle taught me A LOT. I'm just gonna leave that there. At PI we went clothes shopping & I got a new dress (A Very Brady dress). Yeah, totally referencing the Brady Bunch! Eventually we made it to AMC & watched "I Know What You Did Last Summer."
That was a blast. We were so tense and completely into it. Pretty sure this is the same time that I realized I left my clothes in the dryer at Vista Way. The people working the Planet Hollywood gift shop let me use the house phone so I could call our apartment and have a roomie salvage my clothes. Clothes were known to go missing from those washers & dryers.

Then we went to the Marketplace. Danielle spent most of the time complaining & crying about a Tinker Bell costume. I'm not exaggerating. She was legit CRYING. And she pronounced it "coshtume." really heavy on the "eum" sound. She wanted a costume for her niece, Ava. Why do I remember her name?? Oh, because I heard it so much while she was crying. We ended up taking a taxi home.
I had to try hard to convince everyone to go to PI & we didn't get to leave until 12:30am. (I don't think I missed a single Thursday at Pleasure Island. It was Cast Member night ... that means FREE!) Once there they were all crabby. I said Ryan & he said "Hi" to me & did the hand grab thing. Talked to Dan for a while - like always. Bassi & David were there.

Friday, my 2nd day at Pecos' kitchen, wasn't that bad. I did hot dog/chicken window and after my break (spent with Sarah) I did nothing. Laundry, closed window, ITF. (Ice, trays, floors). Vinny gave me a ride home. ah, what a cutie! Marcy drove Joe's car home - she said he was crabby. Vinny, Zach (the Dork's roommate) & I stopped at Wendy's on the way home & I got to listen to Dr. Dre & Tupac. Aaah, listening to my kind of music I never really got to hear when I was in Florida... until Vinny!

Saturday I finally got to see Ricardo again. I had a coughing attack at work - which sent me sweating for the rest of the day. I got to see my Carlos, finally. He had the biggest smile when he saw me. Holli (she went to high school with my cousin, Paul!) & I requested ERs. Dan & Marcy got ''em 1st, then me; I don't know if Holli got one ever. When I was off, I talked to Vinny for 45 minutes, at least, before going home. He walked me nearly the whole way to wardrobe. I'm amazed he can be normal. (Hi Vinny! Pretend you didn't read that, mmkay?)

I sat at the bus stop for an hour since I just missed a bus, then one didn't come get us. The buses seriously sucked. We spent soooo much time sitting there waiting. Juan was at the bus stop with me, but someone gave him a ride home. I met this girl, Sarah, at the bus stop. She was there for a long time, so we talked the whole time. It made our wait go by faster.
Marcy & I tried to sleep, but we couldn't, so we had Pizza Hut and watched "Halloween". Our house was filled with tension so thick you could cut it. Danielle was obnoxious & yelling about everything. She doesn't understand relaxing around the house. At the end of the night (drunk as ever) she came in our room on a rampage. She was going off on Marcy & I for no reason. Ego? Self pity? I don't know.

In the future Marcy and I knew to lock our door! We took shelter in our room a few times... with our ears up to the door to hear the drama happening on the other side!

Remember that budding romance I mentioned?? Brace yourself for the next post!

WDWCP97 Journal. Days 42-43.

Date: October 21-22, 1997
Places: Pool 1, California Grill, Magic Kingdom, Pavilion, Boardwalk, Pool 2
People: Roommates, Jessica, Ryan, Drew
Sights: 1st Florida sunset, Disney's Boardwalk
Dining: Flat bread (3 cheese), cheesecake @ California Grill, spaghetti, Grilled cheese/fries @ ESPN Club
Lodging: Vista Way
ExpensesHa - as if I spent nothing these two days. Puh-leeze. Didn't write it down though.

Tuesday morning Danielle & I went to Pool 1 & I got a nice, dark tan. I do NOT condone this behavior! I am pretty much always pale now! She (Danielle) called and got Sarah, Marcy & I reservations for 5:30 at the California Grill. Sarah, Marcy & I went to Pool 2 for a while and then primped for our night out.
Danielle got us good seats right by the window. Our dinner was way over-priced (~$70) for 3 of us. *Remember this is 1997 and we made less than $6/hour. The cheesecake was good though. during dessert we watched our first Florida sunset - very pretty!

We went to MK afterwards & went on Mr Toad, Tea Cups, the carousel and ran from Fantasyland to Space Mountain. Alejandro was working, but he didn't see us. Leaving Tomorrowland we got stopped by an attractions cast member doing nothing but telling people to go another way. His name was Drew & he's a Florida Gator. We talked to him for ~1 hour. Also, we met a former Miami Dolphin (Stephen). No one was on Main Street, so we danced our way down - very fun!
Later, Marcy, Dee, myself & Jessica (Dee's coworker) went to the Pavilion. It was boring. Ryan (from my seminar) came up & talked to me! Wednesday in seminar, I sat by Ryan. We didn't talk, just "Hi."
After class, Marcy, Sarah & I went to Disney's Boardwalk. It was very neat. We at at the ESPN Club. I had a triple decker grilled cheese (ah, Jersey Lilly!)

The Jersey Lilly is a bar in my hometown. I was obviously not old enough to go there, but we went to the backdoor often to pick up food to go. Back then they had the best grilled cheese in town - and it was also a triple decker. Not anymore.

We just goofed off, took pictures, and walked around. Oh, we went back to the MK before the Boardwalk so Sarah could buy a $300 picture. (Aren't you glad I noted the cost, Sarah?!?) Marcy & I went to the Welcome Center & got our free posters. Our night was pretty calm - we just looked at & put away more new pictures.

Those days were so much fun! I absolutely love the Boardwalk. I make sure to visit every time I'm in Florida! And ESPN - how can you go wrong with a restaurant that has TVs in the bathroom???

In our next post ... I get a makeover!

WDWCP97 Journal. Days 40-41.

Date: October 19-20, 1997
Places: Pecos Bill Cafe, Disney's Marketplace, Florida Mall, Jungle Jim's, Pool 1
People: Roommates, Dan, Katy, Katherine, David, Maria, Luis, Benji, Vladimir, Juan, security
Sights: Huge Lego dinosaurs, Rainforest Cafe, Jungle Jim's
Dining: Grilled cheese @ Fantasyland Cafe & @ Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Spaghetti @ Sbarro
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses$7 - food @ Wolfgang Puck Cafe @ Marketplace, $70 - World of Disney, $3 - Sbarro @ Florida Mall, $10 - Jungle Jim's, $42 - shoes -JC Penny @ mall
Sunday was my 1st day in the kitchen. Jose (the manager) was supposed to train me, but she didn't tell me squat. (What is that phrase?? I NEVER say that!) All I did was put buns on trays and send the buns down. Boring and gross. Dan and I got to have lunch together and I got to train one guy on belt. (So funny, my first day and I trained someone??) I was so happy because Dan & I both got ERs. We're stupid & we are both saving our 1st kitchen hats.

I remember getting home after that first kitchen day. In the shuttle I looked down at my arm and there was a fragment of hamburger stuck in the layer of grease on my arm. I was disgusting. Being a vegetarian, I couldn't stand myself. I showered immediately!!

It took a while, but I convinced Marcy to go to the Marketplace. I bought a ton. There are huge dinosaurs made of Legos. All of the stores are Disney themed. (note, I wrote "Disney" in Disney font. I always do. I can't help it.) We ate at a Wolfgang Puck Cafe and it was so cold outside I had to put on my new parka. Still own it in perfect condition. Danielle got kind of mad because Marcy & I were too tired for House of Blues.

Monday I felt a little nauseous so I called in sick. Everything I smelled made me feel ill. Sarah & I ended up going to the Florida Mall and I got some new shoes for work. I spent the rest of the day laying around the house. I like how I keep calling them houses. Apartments. We all lived in apartments. 6 people, 1 apartment.
Zaira & Brenda had a couple Mexican guys come over, so I stayed in my room. *Don't get all "she's so racist calling people Mexican" on me.... we worked at Disney - they were legit from Mexico. And I stayed in my room because I felt sick and sometimes I just like to be alone in my quiet room. It's an only child thing. Justin ended up coming over (he's the NKOTB guy), so I made Jamie come over for support.  Thanks Jamie!
All 7 roommates (Luis & Maria being 7 & 8) went to Jungle Jim's. Since only Zaira & Brenda are 21 (um, Sarah, too!), they stayed in the restaurant part with us minors. They could have gone into a special area with music & alcohol. Danielle, Marcy, Brenda & I got a cab home & searched for a party.
Luis, Maria, Ronda, Sarah, Marcy, Brenda, Zaira, Danielle
I saw Juan & David & he said Hi! Brenda & I went to Pool 1 & met Vladimir I can't figure out if he's straight or not. (and we all know I know this stuff almost immediately! At Disney, my theory is gay until proven otherwise.) He's a character at Epcot.
I had this photo framed for years! I think it still is.

Somehow we ended up having a party at our place. it was still the 8 of us _ David. Some complete strangers came over for a while. The heifers next door called Security (Picture op!) on us. Luis spent the night, and from what I hear, so did David. I ended up calling in sick for Tuesday at 3am. I am so bad .Carlos is going to really miss me now!

That ended up a fun night. And Yeah, I totally called in. I didn't want to work the kitchen and I knew the rules of calling in well enough to know how and when and how to avoid a reprimand!

Ooh coming up tomorrow we visit a couple of quite nice restaurants essentially way out of my price range!

WDWCP97 Journal. Days 38-39.

Date: October 17-18, 1997.
Places: Pecos Bill Cafe, Orlando suburbs
People: Kevin, Joe, Carlos, Dan, Jamie, roommates, Vinny
Sights: Outskirts of Orlando, Universal Studios entrance
Dining: Grilled cheese/fries
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses$2 - new name tag

I forgot to take my name tag off of my costume one night. Every night you turn in your costume for washing. Mine was washed. I got it back - in not perfect condition! BUT this meant I had to get a new name tag that apparently is $2.00.

Pretty uneventful days. Friday I called in & Kevin said I could come in at 3 instead of 1. You may recall I had gone to bed at 6:30am the "night" before due to our obscene caller and the sheriff's department visiting us. 8pm came very fast. I talked to Vinny & he invited me to Halloween Horror Nights for Saturday. I said I'd go. WHY?? Why didn't this happen??? I'm so bummed. I LOVE HHN. That would have been the best!
Pecos after the 1998 remodel
Okay, Saturday. Ricardo wasn't at work. Instead he was having a baby. Carlos was at work, but for some reason he was a jerk to me all day. He was moody now that I think about it! After my lunch break Jamie & I were condiment bar. Gary had been on it before us, if that means everything. Seriously he was the worst!! He looked like DJ from Roseanne. Just as annoying, too. Nothing was stocked, everything ran out it was dirty, things were overflowing with ketchup, may & mustard. We could have killed him. Jamie hurried & stocked & I prepped forks, spoons & knives. By the time we could put in the knife there were 3 left inside the condiment bar.
Eventually we had everything normal & looking good. Carlos just kept coming in and telling us what to do. We didn't realize he was on condiment bar, too, or we'd have made him work, too. At 5:10 we walked. That's what we called it when we would start our trek back toward the Fantasyland area of the tunnel before we clocked out. First I had to get sentimental with Dan. Joe took Jamie & I home. He told me he'd take me shoe shopping, so I went with him. (I needed shoes for working in the kitchen.) The deal: I go out with him & his friends, he takes me shoe shopping.
Well, I don't have new shoes. We ended up over 20 miles away from Orlando. He could tell I was tired & bored, so he brought me home. I felt like we were just driving through flat, boring farmland all night. I was not happy. I remember this so well. I mean we never even made it to any party or anything! On the way, he confessed how he likes me - he thought I knew. I was speechless. When I got home, Marcy was sleeping. I woke her up and we called Charles (in Oregon), ate, and looked at pictures. Then, to bed. See, I said these 2 days were dull. I don't lie.
Why didn't Vinny and I do Halloween Horror Nights? Neither of us know. Maybe we didn't see each other prior and he didn't get my number that day we talked about it, so it just didn't happen? It's a mystery.

WDWCP97 Journal. Day 37.

Date: October 16, 1997.
Places: Pool 2, Walgreens, Pleasure Island
People: Roommates, David, Kyle, Rio, Luis, Dan, Joe, 2 security guards, a police woman
Sights: Slightly remodeled 8 Trax
Dining: Eggo, ABCs 123s, quesadilla
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses$4 - Walgreens -food/soap

This entire journal entry happens at night!

What an interesting night! During the day, I did nothing. I did laundry, laid by the pool with Danielle and wrote letters. Kids, back in the olden days we didn't have texting and email. We wrote real letters on paper and put them in things called a mail box! Sarah slept because she was sick, so it was a very quiet day.
Danielle, Marcy and I got dressed up in Danielle's clothes - and went to Pleasure Island. The Dork (Chris from Vista Way) actually came up & talked to Danielle. Whatever! (No recollection of who Chris is, but obviously Danielle named him The Dork. This is very Danielle.) Danielle managed to have another guy follow her around.
This actually was one of the best times I've had at PI. When I was dancing near David I turned around & there was Joe (supervisor). we danced with him & I could tell David was jealous. Dude, I can't believed I danced with our supervisor! Dan came over, so we all danced together. He left a little before Macy & I did, and a ways down our walk to get Danielle at Bongo's we saw Dan again.
I sat down & talked to him. Unfortunately, he informed me that Sunday I would be in the kitchen with him. After pouting with my head on his shoulder, Marcy & I went home. (Dan and I weren't all that excited about getting out of our saloon attire and into kitchen clothes.)
Luis was over, but we went to bed. A few minutes later began our horror movie.
5 phone calls in a row. There were some more and all from our 2 week long obscene caller. Luis almost  spent the night 'cause he was worried, but he didn't. He called us & told us about a suspicious guy outside.

Excuse me, I have to stop writing and laugh. It was seriously scary - but looking back it was also hysterical! We were such a 90s horror movie in a sorority house group of girls!

At 3:30am he was playing basketball. We kept watching him. Sarah slept. Danielle & Marcy went outside to see what he'd do (he majorly watched them), then Dee, Marcy & I followed him. Ooh, we turned the tables on the killer! He walked around Vista & cut through right by my window.
I wish this was staged. It wasn't. Thank you, Sarah, for capturing this moment!
We called his room (right across from us) & asked for Mike (because of our calls). There was a Mike. Once we looked out, saw our guy staring at us, & I called 911. This lady came & was worried about us. She talked to Mike & he wasn't our guy. Turns out our guy is Marvin. They figured this out based on his accent. They went to question him & couldn't find him. When she (a sheriff deputy) left our room we heard, "Marvin!" he ran. Eventually they caught him, but nobody knows what's up. None of us went to bed 'til 6:30am. Can you say sleepy?
Good night  morning?!?

I don't really need to add much. That says it all! The sheriff deputies gave us a pamphlet about harassing phone calls and told us not to follow people around in the dark again, and instead call them.

Next time we meed - Vinny is back, Joe kidnaps me, and Dan and I get sentimental.

WDWCP97 Journal. Days 35-36.

Date: October 14-15, 1997.
Places: Epcot Center, Party pavilion, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Ron Jon's Surf Shop, Doc Holliday's Surf Shop
People: Roomates, Dan, David, Joe, Justin, Doc Holliday, Josh, Scott, Scott. Ok - for Josh, Scott and Scott. They all live in building 31. They came over after the pavilion party. One Scott is from Seattle and is a CP alumni. He is Goofy at EPCOT. I liked him, he was cool. Wow! A character in our apartment. How exciting.
Sights: World Showcase, Atlantic Ocean, Ron Jon's
Dining: Nacho chips & quesadillas in Mexico, Pizza Hut buffet - Cocoa Beach, McDonald's - Cape Canaveral
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses$10 - food in Mexico, $3 - donuts @ Dunkin Donuts, $22 - Mickey Mouse & lapel pin, $4 - souvenir cup w/Coke, $50 - tattoo, $4 - McDonald's, $6 - Pizza Hut. $26 - Ron Jon's shirt, pin

What a couple of days this was!! Something became permanent, and I was introduced to the absolute joy and beauty of Epcot! You can't keep me away from Epcot now. Sure took long enough for me to get there.

Tuesday I was supposed to work but I've been feeling bad (this is 100% true!) 7 Sarah, Danielle & Marcy were going to EPCOT, so I called in sick. Joe answered when I called in sick (manager Joe), so I got to talk to him.
We all went to EPCOT & of course I had to buy stuff. We ate dinner in Mexico......

Okay, Sarah & Danielle told me they were going to Mexico for dinner that night. Having no idea what Epcot was like it didn't even occur to me that they meant the Mexico pavilion. I thought "Wow, these girls are so rich that they are hiring a private plane to go to Mexico for dinner? Who are these people?" Seriously. I'm not always the smartest. Alright back to my journal....

.... I didn't care for it - it cost $66.83!! Muy expensivo!

Note: I ordered essentially a quesadilla I would build myself. I had 4 tiny tortillas and some warm goat cheese. Lesson learned. Apparently I hate goat cheese. So I paid way too much to have tortilla chips and tiny tortillas.

Germany is my favorite country - I think I'm biased! Honey, I Shrunk the Audience was awesome. I actually screamed and jumped. I need to go back & do it again. We tried to watch IllumiNations25, but I couldn't see very well.

Sarah, Marcy & I went to Dunkin Donuts so we could have breakfast tomorrow. We (all but Zaira) partied at the pavilion. Dan was there, so I got to talk to him - he cracks me up. (I found out he's Luis' roommate). Marcy got drunk along with Danielle. I was only tipsy. David was all over me. We went to bed at 2am & I was at up 6:45am to get ready for Cocoa Beach.

I'd like to clarify that David and I did not go to bed together at 2am ... all of us 3101 roomies did!! I wasn't going to bed with anyone ever - just wanting to clear that up!!

First thing, we went to Ron Jon's Surf Shop (bucket list item checked off!) Danielle paged the 3 of us in there - embarrassing. Of course I bought stuff.

Next, we went to Doc Holliday's Tattoo Parlor & got appointments. After lunch at Pizza Hut -> the beach!!!

Marcy & I took off running straight into the water. It was very warm & salty. I could not keep  my bikini top on at all. I scraped my leg on the sand body surfing. Atlantic Ocean sand seemed to be so different from Oregon sand. We tried to lay in the sun but got cold & antsy, so we went back to Doc's.
So glad  I believed I was obese..... ugh.
Sarah was 1st & pierced her belly button. 2nd - ME!! It didn't hurt like I thought it would. Only once did it hurt, but then it was over. Marcy was 3rd, then Danielle. Marcy got Eeyore on her left thigh; Danielle -> Dream in Japanese on her left um-below underwear line. *We had to have them where you can't see them in a swimsuit per the Disney Look guidelines. Everyone there was so nice & it was very clean. Not like in the movies!
After 3 hours at the tattoo parlor we went home, stopping in Cape Canaveral for McDs. We are all very, very tired. Oh yeah - Justin came by before we went to bed. Annoying! What is with our room & dorks? *We were probably THE biggest dorks in the entire college program, okay?!?

As if these two days weren't memorable enough, in the next post I share the story of our run-in with the law!

WDWCP97 Journal. Days 33-34.

Date: October 12-13, 1997.
Places: Pecos Bill Cafe, House of Blues
People: Danielle, Marcy, Sarah, Joe, Ricardo, Erika, Mohan, Stevie, Ray, Chris, Benji, Quame, Alejandro, Dan, Anjanette
Sights
Dining: ABCs & 123s, grilled cheese/fries, Eggos, quesadilla
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses$2.11 - Fantasyland Cafe, $15 - picture reprints

Oh my - was Sunday ever too much Heaven for Ronda. As I was going on my lunch break, I ran into Ricardo who was going on his lunch break. We spent our lunch together & he looked at all of my new pictures. I wants my other copy of him. He told me I was right, and Carlos got jealous last night.
So many uninterested men, such little time! ;)
After work Marcy & I took the longest nap. Around midnight Danielle, Marcy & I went to the House of Blues. To sum up the bus ride, Marcy + Benji = tonsil hockey. Gross. I just threw up a little bit. What does she think in her head? no comment. Inside the HoB I realized I don't really like it in there. These 3 guys stared at us all night. We ended up meeting them. Stevie talked to Danielle; Chris to Marcy & Ray to me. They ended up getting our number, but I doubt they'll call. Thank goodness they didn't. So not into them at all.
Just -- NO.
Monday I had to go in to work at 11am ->3 hours earlier than I should have. Boy did I get tired at work. I was on food. it was so busy (Manager Joe even came out to help) and all the guests were cranky and rude. I don't know how many times I wanted to tell some people off. By the time my break came I was beat.
Oh - Sunday, I got to do Mile Long Bar - fun. Also Joe gave me a specialized name tag key chain.

Ok - Monday - I gave Ricardo his picture. again, we got to hear the phrase, "Hey Ricardo! Aren't you married, man?" Carlos got jealous of Joe, again (this is just soooo wrong! Carlos was way ahead of Joe in the Ronda game. Joe didn't rank. Period.) & didn't want to talk to me for a while. He (Carlos) keeps asking me to go with him to a movie. I feel so bad - I want to say no but he'll be crushed.  Joe tried to get me to hang out with him and his friends tonight. I guess I'm going to have to say "yes" sometime. Dan & I hung out at Pecos while closing. He is such a nut; I love talking to him! It's funny how alike the two of us are.

Oh boy - down the road Dan and I, being nutty and too much alike, got into trouble and were separated as punishment! Party poopers. What a lame couple of days this was. They can't all be winners.

Next time.... Ooh the Atlantic ocean! And something permanent happened

WDWCP97 Journal. Days 31-32.

Date: October 10-11, 1997.
Places: Pecos Bill Cafe, Mile Long Bar
People: Ricardo, Carlos, Marcy, Sarah, Danielle, Zaira, Brenda, Steve, Josh
Sights
Dining: Grilled cheese x3, fries x2, quesadilla
Lodging: Vista Way
Expenses$45 - pictures

Friday was a pretty lonely day for me. The only people I talked to were Dan and Marcy. Carlos, Joe & Ricardo were all gone. I talked to Steve, the GT, a lot. Him, Dan & I were all doing food together. Steve and Dan were breaking out into song all night, and Dan was actually singing the guests orders. I remember we did a lot of singing at Pecos!
I'm running out of 1997 photos - so enjoy this from 2010
In the morning I got stuck on topping bar. I felt so sick from the sauerkraut, cheese sauce and barbecue sauce. Incompetent people were on condiment bar, so I was basically doing condiment and topping. When it was near the end of the night, Joe stopped by and took my picture - who knows why!?!
Saturday I got to talk to Ricardo & Carlos (those were my boys!). I don't remember seeing Joe, but he was supposed to be there. I could tell Carlos was getting jealous because I was talking to Ricardo so much.

This cracks me up. Nobody was actually interested in me, yet I still had this "older" man really caring what was going on with me and my friends.

Oh gosh, I'm laughing at what is coming up...
Counters was a zoo. There were so many people, it was like a day long rush. I was looking at Ricardo's ring and he kind of grabbed my hand for an amount of time longer than a second. When Marcy hear that she got so mad. She just knows I want to have an affair with him - at least that's what she thinks.
Hilarious! He was my friend! Heaven forbid my friends be nice to me. As I told Vinny earlier today, people didn't flirt with me or hit on me like they did with all of my roommates. I was just the kid in our group that was tagging along. Like the young kid sister to everyone in the College Program.
When I got home Danielle and I went out to play soccer. Josh (LSU - Go Tigers!) and his friend Rio came out and joined us. Rio was cute and I felt like an idiot because I'm so bad at soccer. I ended up leaving when we were playing keep-away and I was in the middle. I felt like I was making a total fool out of myself so I was forced to go home. It was fun playing soccer barefoot in the rain, though.
Here is Pool #2
Marcy and I went to Walgreens and picked up our $45 worth of pictures at Walgreens. They were good - especially the ones from Benji's party. We still have 2 packages of reprints to pick up. I think our room is addicted to pictures a little too much.
