Looks like I started out the day as a bad influence!
I convinced Marcy to call in sick Tuesday. We ended up having everyone but Brenda hanging out & talking in our room that morning. (Aah, when we all still got along!) After Danielle went to work, Marcy & I went to Pool #2. We almost fell asleep by the pool while trying to get a tan.
Oh my gosh, I would NEVER do something like that now! I never enjoyed just laying in the sun anyway. This completely shocks me! Next was one of the longest, most painful phone calls to Ticketmaster, but for the best reason....
I bought Fiona Apple tickets this morning for her concert at House of Blues.

My mom wasn't happy about that phone bill.
Marcy called in sick on Wednesday, also. Everyone but Brenda had the day off, so we went to Blizzard Beach. Sarah & I had the water proof cameras we bought the night before at Walmart. While at Walmart, Sarah brought a TV. Zaira & I had to sit in the front & Luis was crammed into the back with the TV.
I'm so glad Sarah got that TV. We didn't have many channels, so many hours of the Weather Channel were spent being watched on that television! I'm not even joking. One of the ladies was pregnant. We watched her belly get bigger during our internship on that TV!
At Blizzard Beach we went on the ski lift to the top & went down the family tube ride. Then, the lazy river, where I lost my hair tie.
I seriously wrote down that I lost a hair tie!
We went on more slides, including Summit Plummet. I was the first to go down it. Major wedgie!

After the mother of all slides, we ate lunch - grilled cheese, fries, Coke. Shopping was next. I bought a lapel pin, postcard for my dogs (yes, I sent mail to my dogs!) and a 25th anniversary beach towel (which I still have in perfect condition).

After shopping & lunch we hit the "wavy" pool. Lastly, the family ride 1 more time & then the lazy river for one last float. At home we could all see some major lines - mostly red, no brown.

That night, us Americans ate dinner at the House of Blues. Spicy fries! We shopped at the Virgin Megastore & I bought an Alanis book. Three of us (Me, Marcy, & Danielle) almost fell asleep on the eachother at the bus stop outside Pleasure Island. Long, long day!
With Danielle & Sarah - decorating our table "cloth"

Wall art - our House of Blues table cloth found a new home, by our dining room table!

A drama free couple of days! That was such a fun time. I had never been to a water park before and had no idea what to really expect. But I loved it! And as a picky vegetarian, I remember House of Blues didn't have much on the menu for me. I really do think all I had was some french fries - and I do recall they were super spicy! Tasty!!

OOh, I cannot wait to tell you what happened on my 2nd day of work!! Check that out in the next post!
