HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Date: November 3-4, 1997

People: Roommates, Vinny, Luis, Maria, Ricardo, Holli, Asif, Joe, Germane, Dan, Rebecca, Tigger, Eeyore, Minnie, Mickey, Pooh, Goofy, Pluto, Jamie, Cristina, Will, Jamie, David, Alejandro, Vinny's Dad

Monday morning I got to sit by Alejandro on the MK bus for a couple minutes. I haven't seen or talked to him in ages. At work, Holli & I got to do Mile Long Bar together with Asif. Fun! I even got a thermometer from Will today! I'm so official now. Dan trained me on Take Down (a closing job). Before that, Jamie & I drove around in a pargo. Dan & I drove the pargo - I got to drive - NO accidents! Vinny showed up with his cousin. I had the funnest time closing - but it was hard, dirty work. I ended up working 11 hours.

Tuesday I was up at 5:15am so we could get our OSU picture taken. It was fun wearing my Pecos dress in Tomorrowland/Main St. We never wear our costumes out of the designated area, and you never get to take a costume home. This was the one exception!

Marcy & I made it to Crystal Palace in time for my character breakfast. (Had to do a super fast costume change into normal clothes before guests were in the park.) Danielle didn't come, but we are all happy about that. The Cast Members sang Happy birthday to me & gave me a cupcake with a candle in it & a card signed by Tigger, Eeyore & Pooh. Tigger & "E" came over & saw us & we visited Pooh at the end. 

Sarah got me a red Mickey nightshirt; Danielle, mickey slippers like his shoes; Zaira - a card (she & Brenda will give me presents later0; & Marcy got me the big bathrobe I wanted. I still own ALL of these things in immaculate condition. It was so fun!

We all went on the Jungle Cruise & Marcy & I hit Toon Town. We did the roller coaster & saw Minnie, Goofy, Pluto & Mickey. The 2 of us dozed off in the Centers of Excellence while doing our studies. As part of the 1997 College Program we were required to attend seminars and then do elective course for a certain number of credits. On my 2000 College Program none of that happened. Many, many changes. At home, I fell asleep with Marcy on me during "Sleeping Beauty". 

Vinny picked me up around 7pm & we went to AMC to see "Kiss the Girls". He wouldn't tell me where we were going until we were there - how sweet! Then, we went to the Boardwalk. We walked around & then sat on a swinging bench in the sand by the water. Could I have a more romantic birthday? I doubt it. Ahhh.😍 While we were sitting there I looked up & saw Brenda, Luis & Maria. It was so cute. Vinny got so shy - so unlike him. 

At home Brenda said he was cute - Good taste! I didn't get home 'til late - his parents are going to hate me. Since he had to meet my roomies, we went to the Grand Floridian so I could meet his dad, Al. I was so scared. I was bright red the whole time. 1 parent down, 1 to go! His dad totally wasn't scary. I was nervous for no reason!

Growing up it was just a fantasy to ever have a Disneyland birthday. I'd see kids having their parties in a special area near Space Mountain. To be able to actually have MY birthday party in Walt Disney World - dream come true! I had so much fun!! I guess I loved it - because how many trips have I made now in my adult life back to my favorite places for my birthday? Can't help it - thanks to my awesome tattoo, Disney is officially in my blood!
